About APIC-DFW

The Dallas / Ft Worth chapter of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. was established in 1976.  Our chapter was one of the first five established in the United States.  2005 was our 30th anniversary, and we'll celebrate the occasion in May 2007. We are proud of our past heritage and accomplishments and excited about what the future holds. DFWAPIC is a great place for professional growth and networking.  We hold monthly educational and business meetings as well as a day-long educational conference every fall.  If you have any questions about membership in our group please contact our Membership Director, Nancy Viamonte.

APIC-DFW Vision

APIC-DFW will be recognized as the leader in infection prevention and control by both the healthcare community and the public we serve.

APIC-DFW Mission

APIC-DFW's purpose is to influence, support, and improve the quality and safety of healthcare through the practice and management of infection prevention and control and the application of epidemiology in all health care settings. This is done through education, collaboration, evidence-based practice, advocacy, and credentialing.
