Toni Polk chaired this year's Holiday Luncheon, a wonderful celebration with a Hawaiian theme. Hula Santas decorated the tables, with chocolate covered macadamia nuts for each attendee. Again, the marines sponsored our Toys for Tots and left with a tableful of new toys for deserving children. We learned some Hawaiian holiday word... Mele Kalikimaka!!!... (and a Merry Christmas to you!!!) ...did you know that the Hawaiian alphabet only has TWELVE letters!? Janet thanked her Board and committee chairs with lovely corsages. We honored ten outstanding members with STAR awards, acknowledged our new and renewing CICs, and the Board presented Janet with a lovely plaque in appreciation for a wonderful year of her leadership!
