On Sunday, October 2, 2012, thousands of women and men will come together for an amazing display of courage and commitment. They will walk 3.2 miles (5k) each raising thousands of dollars to fight HIV/AIDS. APIC-DFW is interested in having a team of people walking in the LifeWalk.
FIDE VALENCIA and JANETTE BROWN will serve as our Captain for this year's AIDS LifeWalk in LEE PARK (map below)
on October 2nd at 1:00 pm.
Each LifeWalk team commits to raising at least $500 for the cause. The goal set for team "APIC-DFW" is $1000. They’re not fundraising experts. They’re not athletes. They’re ordinary people who’ve been inspired to make a difference. Because they made the simple decision to do something bold, to not sit by while HIV/AIDS takes its toll, lives will be saved.
Net proceeds from LifeWalk benefit AIDS Arms, Inc. to support crucial HIV/AIDS research, education/prevention and client services.
We are going to be having a private orientation for our group after each chapter meeting. To RSVP for the orientation please reply to this email. The name of our team is APIC-DFW – be sure you join our team. To find out more information about the LifeWalk visit www.lifewalk.org
Family and pets are welcome to participate!!
