APIC-DFW strives to recognize active members who share their talents with others unselfishly to
promote the field of infection prevention and control between Octoer 1st of the
previous year and September 30 th of the award year.
Toot your own horn, or nominate a colleague.
The award recognizes members who
- have been elected or appointed to a position in a local, state, national, or international
professional organization affilitated with infection control (APIC, AORN, TSICP, SHEA, etc)
- provide an educational presentation (postal or oral abstract) at a local, state, national, or
international infection control meeting.
- provide a lecture or educational class dealing with infeciton control and prevention to a professional
group for continuing education contact hours
- write a professional article, chapter, or book related to infection prevention and control that is published
- receive special recognition for infection control-related expertise by a professional organization
other than the local APIC DFW chapter (e.g. Carole DeMille Award, APIC New Investigator Award, APIC Hero, TSICP
Gerry Haynes Award, etc.)
